About Us - Funding Streams

The Tidewater Youth Services Commission is recognized for its tradition of providing highly effective programming at a reasonable cost to localities.   

Several funding streams are used to provide these services:  Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act (VJCCCA); Comprehensive Services Act (CSA); Mental Health Initiatives (MHI); local juvenile court funding; local department of social services funding; state 294 funds; Medicaid and FAMIS (for Community-Based Clinical Services); and Tidewater Youth Services Foundation.
