Tidewater Youth Services Foundation - Letters

Dear Ms. Ploeger:  

I am writing this letter to thank Tidewater Youth Services for all of their help again during my family’s time of need. I have had the privilege of utilizing several of your services over the past few years and I have to say as a parent with a troubled youth, Tidewater Youth Services is the very best! I do not know if it is because you have some very caring, educated, or experienced counselors, or maybe you have some super power training that no one else knows about. Whatever it is, it separates you guys from the rest! 

I believe when a person goes above and beyond their call of duty it is important to recognize and acknowledge that person’s time and efforts. Therefore I believe it is extremely important for me to point out to you one of your in home service counselors Sharla Slupski. This counselor has definitely gone way above and beyond her call of duty working with this family. She is a very kind and caring counselor who will go far with her career because she does care about the people she helps and therefore is extremely good at what she does. I believe she is one of Tidewater Youth Services’ most valuable assets and I hope she is recognized as such.   

If there is ever anything I may do to help Tidewater Youth Services Commission please do not hesitate to ask.

Dear TYS Foundation: 

I just wanted to take this time to thank you for the $100 gift card. It showed me that there are people in the world that care. It really helped out, not only me but it helped the person who took me in when I had nowhere else to go. My mother kicked me out and instead of living my life illegal someone was kind enough to let me reside in their home so I don’t end up dead or in prison. I’m using this time to get my life together and show everybody I can change. I’m tired of people judging me because I have a bad record, but I’m ready to prove everybody wrong. Well not everybody because there are people who believe in me life Ms. Gibbs. But I’m not going to talk your head off. I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am and how much it helped. Thank you very much and God bless you!
